Pine Hall Brick Paver
Pine Hall Brick Paver is a clay product. The colors are unique from concrete. The clay paver is every bit as strong as concrete paver. Clay pavers cut well with a standard paver saw. We did compact the pavers while spreading joint sand. No breakage while compacting.

Cobble pavers make good sidewalks but the base should be graded and compacted meticulously to achieve good results. We use quality paver restraint secured with 10 inch spikes to secure the edges. It is a good idea to plan the finished surface an inch above grade for water runoff and winter melt in cold states.
The SureBond Paver & Joint Sealer hasn't finished soaking in. SureBond gives just a hint of a wet look. For best result as a sand lock, SureBond should be applied at the rated quantity which is about 1 gallon per 100 square feet. If pavers have efflorescence (white stains) try and clean them before applying sealer. Some products help, but efflorescence can be tough to get off. Some paver brands have much more than others. A bit of a wet look on pavers brings out the color and highlights them.

Most customers allow us to use our experience when deciding on borders and patterns. We have the meandering drainage stream bed off to the side. The field stones and pavers get along well but, sometimes too much border gets a busy look going. It is good to trim in the sides of the walk using larger paver pieces. This makes many more scraps, but is a much more robust walk.
This was a drainage correction job. When you have a slight pitch to work with, time spent grading to perfection makes the job work. The French drain style dry stream bed contains 4 inch perforated pipe in a silt sock along the bottom. This would be ideal to run into a rain garden, but they didn't have room. Water emits into a small planter out front. You have to appreciate all the grading and compacting of the paver base to get this kind of look.
